Sending Teams to Haiti

Is your church interested in sending a team to Haiti? 

UMVIM has been working in Haiti for over 30 years averaging 100 teams per year. UMCOR also has an active presence in Haiti. Together they have collaborated to develop a process for churches to safely and effectively serve in Haiti. 
 
Advantages:
  • Matching funds available for projects
  • Teams hire local Haitians to work alongside the team, empowering the Haitians to be a part of their recovery as well as assisting them financially
  • UMVIM staff schedule teams and projects stateside and UMVIM staff in Haiti receive the teams, handle finances, arrange transportation, lodging and food, project materials, etc. – generally providing a “turnkey” mission experience for teams. 
Teams are limited to 8-10 people per team and all Team leaders must have UMVIM Team Leader training and prior experience working in Haiti. To learn more, please visit the Web site:
