While the oil spill is of great concern to all of us, this is a disaster "owned" by BP and ultimately, they have both the legal and financial responsibility for response and recovery.  In addition, environmental and safety concerns limit the opportunities for volunteer involvement. 

For now, like you, Disaster Recovery is watching and praying.
